Graduate School of Media & Communications, Nairobi

The GSMC Resource Centre provides a rich collection of information resources, in both digital and print, useful for reference, research, education, communication, and thought leadership.

Students, journalists, professors, executives and others can fully exploit these resources by taking our comprehensive information literacy seminar, which equips them with the skills they need to navigate the chaotic, often-overwhelming world of 21st century information.

Through this course, they will learn to go beyond Google to discover hard-to-find studies, papers, articles, photos and other materials that transform information into the kind of knowledge that enhances and enlarges their research and reporting.

The Resource Centre also provides space for its users to work independently or in groups in an area serviced by both LAN and Wi-Fi Internet for access to a wide range of online databases. Multiple power connections and flexible seating options is available. The Resource Centre is part of the wider AKU library network, providing access to a rich variety of information resources and services.

So whether you’re a professional communicator who needs to sharpen your information-gathering skills, or a student who needs a quiet space with state-of-the-art equipment and technology, the Resource Center is here to serve you.
