PERI Resources

AKU Library is now subscribing to the Programme for the Enhancement of Research Information (PERI) resources. This is an online programme that supports capacity building in the research sector in developing and transitional countries, reinforcing local efforts to produce, disseminate and gain access to scholarly information and knowledge. PERI is one of the projects available through International Availability of Scientific Publication (INASP). We are also pleased to inform you that these resources cover a wide range of disciplines i.e. health, management, human resource, information technology, finance, engineering and many more. It is our hope that these will go a long way in supporting the research needs of all departments.

In order to afford and sustain subscription to the PERI resources a consortium of academic and research institutions in Kenya was formed of which AKU library is a member.

The PERI resources have been registered via Internet Protocol (IP) address. This means that AKU/AKUH staff, faculty and students should access the resources via the IP address of AKU/AKUH and the resources are therefore, only accessible using the computers on the institution's network.
