The Aga Khan University’s (AKU) Medical College and School of Nursing and Midwifery (SONAM) in collaboration with Muhimbili University of Health and Allied Sciences (MUHAS), Aga Khan Health Services and the Ministry of Health, Tanzania will conduct a symposium on Women’s health in the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) agenda.
The symposium will cover areas of interest on Women’s health, including reproductive, maternal, and newborn, child and adolescent health priorities.
Keynote lectures and presentations will be delivered by experts who will brainstorm on different aspects of the RMNCAH agenda in East-Africa.
There will be a pre-symposium workshop on Knowledge Synthesis and Translation open to AKU Faculty, residents and staff. The topics include; evidence synthesis, formulating research questions, searching medical databases, critical appraisal of medical literature and introduction to the analysis methods.
Participants will also be oriented on the basics of systematic reviews and their use for policymaking.
