The objectives of the conference are to:

  • Identify possible causes of medically unexplained symptoms and the connection between physical and mental health
  • Identify common psycho-social issues that may lead to mental health problems in the general population
  • Recognize the need to refer to specialists
  • Address health care provider burnout and importance of its recognition in various fields

    We invite proposals for a half day workshop associated with the main conference program that can address one of the themes mentioned above. Please see: Guidelines for submitting an abstract

  • October 6, 2017 | Plenaries | 9:00 – 4:00 pm
    Many people presenting to physicians have symptoms that are not explained by any physical cause, at times posing difficulty in diagnosis and management. The conference aims to provide a platform for discussions and collaborations between different specialties that deal with mental health problems.
