- discuss relationships between functions and equations;
- investigate multiple representations of quadratic equations;
- analyze students’ errors in solving quadratic equations; and
- design tasks to assess students’ learning of quadratic equations.

Dr Munira Amirali is an Assistant Professor at AKU-IED, Pakistan. She has taught mathematics teacher education, teacher learning & research at both graduate and post graduate levels. She holds a PhD in Teacher Education from the Aga Khan University. Dr Munira has a rich experience of working with ECD, primary and secondary school teachers, teacher educators, coordinators and school leaders. She also has an extensive experience of facilitating continuous professional development programmes for mathematics teachers.
Dr Razia Fakir Mohammad is an Assistant Professor at AKU-IED, Pakistan. She has taught teacher education, assessment & evaluation & research at national & international level. She holds a PhD in Teacher Education from the Oxford University, UK,; MEd in Teacher Education from AKU-IED, MEd in Evaluations & Guidance from the University of Karachi and MA in Education & Economics from the University of Karachi. Dr Razia Fakir Mohammad has got rich experience of working with pre-service & in-service teacher education & research programmes in Pakistan & United Kingdom.
