This course is designed for graduate students to enable them to gain a methodological understanding of how evidence is synthesised both qualitatively and quantitatively. It provides a step-by-step guidance for those interested in conducting qualitative or quantitative reviews. The steps focus on formulating research question, exploring methods for searching the literature, selecting studies, performing quality assessment, conducting data extraction, synthesising evidence and identifying heterogeneity and interpreting evidence.
