Dr Mohammed Yusuf

​​​M Yusuf 265.jpgDr Mohammed Yusuf holds a BSc Honours in Molecular and Cellular Biology from the School of Applied Sciences at the University of Huddersfield. In 2003, he did his Masters of Research in Biological Sciences from the Department of Biological Sciences, University of Manchester followed by PhD in Genetics from the Department of Biosciences at the University of Kent in 2006. He spent a year at the University of Cambridge during his PhD studies. 

Dr Yusuf has worked at various international institutes and universities including Department of Cellular and Molecular Medicine, University of Bristol; Cytogenetics Core Facility at the Wellcome Trust Centre for Human Genetics, University of Oxford; London Centre for Nanotechnology, University College London; and Brunel University London. 

Dr Yusuf has developed many research protocols and techniques in molecular cytogenetics. He has experience in laboratory management and setup and holds more than 12 years of experience in chromosome analysis and imaging. 

Dr Yusuf has published in his area of research focus. He is a scientific journal reviewer for the BMC Genetics Journal, Journal of Synchrotron Radiation, Nature Scientific Reports, and Journal of Advanced Research. He is also a research grant reviewer for Biotechnology and Biological Sciences Research Council since 2015.
