Katherine Karambu Kairichi is a dynamic Communications and PR S​pecialist with a wealth of experience in development communications. Over the past 12 years, she has played various pivotal roles in communications and brand management within non-profit organizations across diverse sectors including agribusiness, gender, health, and human and land rights. She is highly versatile, a fast learner, a collaborative team player, and a creative entrepreneur who enjoys empowering communities by sharing impactful stories.

Katherine's expertise lies in managing brands by creating and implementing communication and engagement strategies and designing communication products to foster learning, growth, and societal transformation. Her commitment extends to supporting brands in achieving their global good objectives. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Social Communication from the Catholic University of Eastern Africa (CUEA).

Previously, Katherine was a Founder, Lead Creative, and Communications Consultant with Picture Narratives, and worked with organizations such as the Kenya Legal and Ethical Issues Network on HIV & AIDS (KELIN), Fintrac Inc. under the Kenya Agricultural Value Chain Enterprises (USAID-KAVES) project, and the Women's Empowerment Link (WEL).

At the Brain & Mind Institute, Katherine works with a wide array of internal and external collaborators and stakeholders, planning, designing, developing, implementing, and evaluating communications and engagement plans to raise the profile of the Brain and Mind Institute (BMI).  She supports cohesion and consistency in all Institute’s communications and engagement efforts, in alignment with Aga Khan University’s (AKU’s) regulations, through communications best practices.​
