​Diploma in Nursing (​KRCHN), Kenya

(EN-RN Conversion Programme)​​​

The programme will equip nurses with ​skills and knowledge to address emerging and re-emerging diseases and allow employers to re-designate them to supervisory​ responsibilities as well as create a nurse career progression pathway. 

The programme provides nurses with an opportunity to access specialist diploma training, increase participation in policy formulation and equips them to take up leadership roles. It affirms the strength of these nurses and the importance in the well-being of families, communities and nations. This is a work-study programme that will run for 24 months.

Admissions are currently ​open for 2018 admission cycle​. Candidates are encouraged to apply online​. Eligibility Criteria

  • ​Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) aggregate “D+” (D plus) or Kenya Certificate of Education (KCE)/East Africa Certificate of Education (EACE) Division III or its equivalent

  • Enrolled​ with Nursing Council of Kenya (NCK) as Kenya Enrolled Community Health Nurse (KECHN) or Kenya Enrolled Nurse and Midwife (KEN/KEM)

  • Current practice license and Basic Life Support (BLS) certificate

  • At least two years working experience in a clinical setting at the time of admission
