How to Apply
Admissions have closed for 2017-2018 cycle.
The last date to submit the application was June 16, 2017 for PhD programme and June 5, 2017 for Masters programmes. Please direct your queries at email@example.com
For your information, following is the process that was applicable for 2017-2018 admission cycle.
Submitting an Application
Please note that in either case, whether applying online or submitting the pre-printed application; a hard copy of the following documents must be couriered to the Admission Office:
- PDF file of the application submitted online or the completed paper-based application form
- Two photographs with your name labelled at the back. Please refer Programme Information Booklet for specifications
- Attested photocopies of mark sheets / transcripts / statement of results as entered in the form
Attested photocopy of 'B' Form / CNIC / NICOP for candidates applying from Pakistan or relevant pages of the passport for overseas applicants
A self-addressed envelope for your admit card which will be couriered to you
Original receipt of the application fee
A non-refundable application fee will be applicable as described below:
Candidates applying from AKU residential countries*: Rs 5,500/-
Candidates applying from AKU non-residential countries: US$ 275/-
*Afghanistan, Burundi, Kenya, Pakistan, Rwanda, Tanzania and Uganda
Cash, money orders, postal orders and personal cheques are not acceptable.
Mode of Payment
You may pay your application fee through the following modes of payment. The original deposit slip / bank acknowledgement receipt should be sent along with the application form to the Admission Office. Please do not send the payment request slip.
For Candidates in Pakistan: The payment can be made by a demand draft in favour of "The Aga Khan University" or by online deposit to any branch of Soneri Bank Limited. The banking details are as follows:

Before submitting applications, applicants must ensure that they have complied with the instructions given with the application form.
Note: it remains the responsibility of the candidate to complete the application requirements according to the instructions and time schedule. No reminders will be sent by the Admission Office. Once acknowledged, an application will not be returned.
Aga Khan University reserves the right to revoke admission and registration if an application form is discovered to be inaccurate or incomplete, or if supporting documents are discovered to be fraudulent. Any candidate who presents a fraudulent document in support of an application for admission may be identified to other universities and colleges.
The completed online application (in PDF file) or paper based application, application fee and the required documents must be sent by registered post, through a reliable courier service or by hand to the Admission Office. There is no provision for processing applications after the closing date.
