How to Apply​​

Admissions are currently ​open for 2018 admission cycle​. Candidates are encouraged to apply online​. For assistance in completing the online application form, applicants are​ advised to go through the Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) and Understand the Online Process

Only in situations where the online application is n​ot accessible, candidates may request for a paper based application form by emailing the Admission Office at regoff.tz@aku.edu​​​​​​​

Application deadline for full-time programme:  ​April 23, 2018​​

Application deadline for part-time programme: June 18, 2018​


Submitting an Application​

Please note that in either case, whether applying online or submitting the pre-printed application; a hard copy of documents is required. The following must be included in a package and sent /delivered to the address given below as an admission application to the Masters Programme: 

  • Hard copy of the completed application form, either submitted online or paper-based

  • One passport size photograph

  • Copies of your degree certificates and transcripts and your secondary school certificates, NOT result slips​

  • Two letters of reference from professionals

  • A personal statement not exceeding 1000 words; reasons for selected specialization about 100 word

  • Where applicable, applicants should request their Principal or respective supervisor to complete the bonding agreement

  • Applicants from the Kenyan public sector should send copies of their application forms and supporting documentation to the Teachers’ Services Commission, Kilimanjaro Road, Nairobi.

Please note that admissions are based on open merit. Before submitting applications, applicants must ensure that they have complied with the instructions given in the application form.

Note: it remains the responsibility of the candidate to complete the application requirements according to the instructions and time schedule. No reminders will be sent by the Admission Office. Once acknowledged, an application will not be returned.

​Aga Khan University reserves the right to revoke admission and registration if an application form is discovered to be inaccurate or incomplete, or if supporting documents are discovered to be fraudulent. Any candidate who presents a fraudulent document in support of an application for admission may be identified to other universities and colleges or respective regulatory bodies.

The completed online application (in PDF file) or paper-based application and the required documents must be sent by registered post or through a reliable courier service or by hand to the Admission Office. There is no provision for processing applications after the closing date. Please direct your queries at regoff.tz@aku.edu
