Ms Soraiya Shah
Interim Director, East Africa Institute
Ms Shah has a BJourn from Rhodes University & USIU. Ms Shah worked as radio presenter for seven years, while also working full time in marketing and communications for the hospitality industry. Returning to Rhodes University to undertake a PGDip (Hons) at the Sol Plaatje Institute in 2013. She later returned to Nairobi and started her own consultancy firm specialising in media strategy for corporates and political parties, as well strategic interventions in brand alignment and management.
Ms Shah has been with the Aga Khan University earlier on as a consultant for the Graduate School of Media and Communications. She has recently been appointed as Interim Director & Programmes Manager for the East Africa Institute of the Aga Khan University (EAI).
The EAI is a regional platform for research, policy analysis, public engagement and performance, focusing broadly on socio-economic development and environmental sustainability across the five countries of the East African Community (EAC).
