Dr.
Robert Frederick Maudsley-Dean of Faculty of Health Sciences
Dr. Robert Frederick Maudsley
assumed the post of Dean, Faculty of Health Sciences at AKU on October
1, 2000. He brings with him over 30 years of rich experience and
leadership in clinical practice, medical education, research and
academic administration.
Dr. Maudsley has held several
senior administrative positions including those of Associate Dean
for Education at McMaster University and Vice-Dean, Faculty of Medicine
at Queen's University in Canada. His last appointment before joining
AKU was as Professor, Division of Medical Education, Dalhousie University.
He is an Emeritus Professor of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Queen's
University, Canada.
The new Dean is a fellow of the
Royal College of Surgeons of Canada and a Diplomate of the American
Board of Obstetrics and Gynaecology. Dr. Maudsley recently received
the Duncan Graham Award of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons
of Canada for his outstanding contributions to medical education
in Canada.
