Mr. Yusuf H. KeshavjeeMr Yusuf H. Keshavjee

Mr Keshavjee brings to the Board diverse experience from East Africa's private as well as government and civil society sectors. He currently chairs the Boards of Honey Care Africa Limited, an expanding East African social enterprise aimed at increasing income of rural farmers; Shaanti Holistic Health Retreat, a yoga and meditation centre in Mombasa; and White Rose Drycleaners based in Kenya and Uganda.

Mr Keshavjee has given extensive honorary service to various organisations, including as a member of Advisory Committees of the Ford Foundation Philanthropy Initiative, Kenya as well as that of the World Bank/IFC Grassroots Based Organisation to develop social enterprises in East Africa. He was also a member of the Asian Leaders Advisory Forum, Kenya and the Kenya National Council for Children Services. In AKDN, Mr Keshavjee has had a long standing association with Aga Khan Foundation in Kenya. He served AKF's National Committee for 15 years, including as its Chair, and thereafter became Chair of AKF's Regional East Africa Committee (1994-2000). As part of his senior leadership in the Ismaili community, in addition to many other roles, Mr Keshavjee was President of its Council for Kenya for two terms (1999-2005). Mr Keshavjee earned his Bachelor of Science in Economics with Honors from the London School of Economics and is a graduate of an Executive Management Programme at Harvard Business School. He was honoured with a "Head of State Commendation" by the President of Kenya in 2005 for exemplary service to the people of Kenya.
