Dr Syed Sibit–ul–Hasnain

Dr Hasnain is the President of the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council and CEO/Principal of Jinnah Hospital and Allama Iqbal Medical College, Lahore. He graduated from the King Edward Medical College, Lahore in 1971 after which he acquired fellowships from the College of Physician and Surgeons of Pakistan, the Royal College of Physicians, Edinburgh and Glasgow, the American College of Physicians and the American College of Gastroenterology.

Professor Hasnain is also member of more than 15 professional medical societies in Pakistan and abroad. Besides 51 research publications to his credit, he is also the pioneer Editor-in-Chief of Pakistan Journal of Gastroenterology and had been the Editor of Pakistan Post Graduate Medical Journal. In recognition of his services to the medical profession, he has been decorated with the ‘Pride of Performance Award' by the President of Islamic Republic of Pakistan and the ‘Best University Teacher Award' by the Higher Education Commission of Pakistan.

In recognition of astounding successes in his vocation and valuable contributions for the benefit and welfare of humanity, Dr Hasnain has been designated as ‘Good Will Ambassador' and awarded honorary citizenship by the City of Houston as well as granted honorary membership of Association of Pakistani Physicians in North America (APPNA).
