Dr J. Robert Buchanan

A former General Director and CEO of the Massachusetts General Hospital, Boston, Dr Buchanan is Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School. Previous President of Chicago Hospital and Medical Centre, Dr Buchanan has served as Associate Dean and Dean of Cornell University Medical College and as Professor of Medicine at the University of Chicago. A national leader in health care administration, he is a member of the Institute of Medicine of the U.S. Academy of Sciences and is listed in several Who's Who directories. He is a founding Trustee of Aga Khan University and has been a member of the Board since its inception (1985).
