Student Financial Support
In order to effectively implement its fundamental principle of accessibility, AKU offers its education programmes at a subsidy. On average, AKU charges 24% of the total cost of delivering the education programme.
In addition, financial assistance is provided to students unable to cover these fees. The financial assistance is partly funded by a scholarship endowment fund and partly by the University budget. To date, approximately US$ 15 million has been provided as grants and interest-free loans to students, with US$ 1.42 million provided in the academic year 2010-2011.
