International Advisory Committee for Research
The International Advisory Committee for Research (IACR) acts as advisory to the Board of Trustees, Provost and the University Research Council (URC) on matters concerning research.
IACR advises on developing the University's research plans including its capacity for multidisciplinary research.
IACR helps establish research priorities for allocation of resources in respect to the diverse needs and opportunities in the developing world.
IACR assists in building and maintaining strong and high quality research - including provision of consultation and advice on the University's management of research and research funding. IACR also assists in periodic evaluation of research achievements and directions, taking into consideration the University's resource base and opportunities. IACR aids in building international linkages for development and collaborative work. It also offers guidance with respect to sources of research support and infrastructure.
