Faculty of Health Sciences Research Committee
The Faculty of Health Sciences Research Committee was established in 1985 with the objective of further strengthening the research capacity of the Faculty of Health Sciences (FHS). The committee develops policies and procedures relevant to FHS research that are directed towards broadening the research knowledge base and skills of FHS faculty, students and trainees.
The Committee endeavours to create an environment in which the FHS community of faculty, students and staff can interact for the enrichment of biomedical research cooperation between scientists in all departments across all campuses of the University, and with other institutions nationally and internationally.
The FHS Research Committee also reviews/endorses seed money grant applications of faculty members so that they can apply for startup grants as junior researchers and in due course establish their research credentials to undertake more substantial research studies.
