All interns are evaluated on a quarterly basis by the faculty members of their respective teams. Input is also taken from their chief/senior residents. A score is assigned for each component of evaluation. A cumulative score is generated at the end of each year. This continuous assessment contributes 75 per cent towards their final score. An end of the year exam contributes 25 per cent towards their final score. The intern scoring the highest is then given the prestigious 'Best Intern Award' at the annual graduation ceremony. Four interns next on the merit list are also awarded special recognition certificates.
