AKU's Graduation Ceremony for Postgraduate Trainees
 

Aga Khan University's (AKU) twelfth Graduation Ceremony of the Postgraduate trainees on October 30, 2006, 51 Interns, 45 Residents, 12 Fellows and 2 students of the Epidemiology and Biostatistical course were conferred certificates. To date 1,377 trainees have graduated from various postgraduate training programmes of AKU in Karachi. At present, over a third of AKU's clinical faculty comprises of its own PGME graduates. Many more are working in US, UK, Europe, Australia, Saudi Arabia and UAE. The event included a formal academic procession of the faculty members. Valedictory speeches were made by Dr Mohammad Abdullah, graduating Intern and Dr Tayyaba Ansari, graduating resident. Around 800 guests including faculty members attended the ceremony.
