Aga Khan University School of Nursing held its 26th Lamp Lighting Ceremony to commemorate the 187th birthday of Florence Nightingale, the founder of modern nursing. On this occasion, 100 nurses from BScN and RN Diploma programmes took their pledge to honour the international code of nursing ethics and to uphold the integrity of the professional nurse. The ceremony is held worldwide in nursing schools as an annual tribute to Florence Nightingale.
