Professor Camer Vellani - Distinguished University Professor Emeritus

The title of Distinguished University Professor Emeritus was conferred on Professor Camer Vellani for his outstanding contributions to the advancement of knowledge and his leadership in the field of education and research. Professor Vellani's association with Aga Khan University (AKU) dates from 1979, even before its formal inauguration, and he has contributed enormously in various capacities in that time to AKU's development.

Professor Richard Pring - University Award of Distinction

The 2007 University Award of Distinction was awarded to Professor Richard Pring, Emeritus Fellow of Green College at Oxford University, for his outstanding contributions to the advancement of knowledge and his leadership in the field of education and research. Professor Pring has continued to support AKU even after his retirement from Oxford University. His contribution in developing and teaching on AKU-IED's PhD programme has been exemplary. He has been a source of help and wise counsel to the University's Institute for the Study of Muslim Civilisations in London from its earliest days.

Dr Faraz Ali Khan - Best Graduate Award

The Best Graduate Award is presented to a graduate who achieves the highest aggregate score in the certifying examinations during the five year course leading to the MBBS degree.
