Invited speakers and delegates of 13 different countries including India, Bangladesh, Sri-Lanka, Malaysia, UAE, Qatar, Saudi-Arabia, UK, USA, Iran, Nairobi, Masqat, and Australia are expected to attend symposium.

Control of pain has been a relatively neglected area across the world, particularly in developing countries. The Symposium will raise awareness about importance of pain management services and stimulate thinking to improve education and research on relevant topics of pain.

The National Health Sciences Research Symposium (NHSRS) is an annual event by AKU on a topic relevant to Pakistan and the region. The recent past symposia have focused on reproductive health, mental health and health sciences education. The University appreciates that the endemic problems of a region beset with financial difficulties and low development indicators can be addressed only through relevant research focusing on producing low cost, accessible and innovative solutions.
