PhD in Health Sciences
Admission for October
2001
The Faculty of Health Sciences invites applications for admission to the
PhD programme. The programme is based on integrated course work in health
sciences followed by a research project.
Eligibility
Requirements
Four-year degree in Biological Sciences / MSc / DVM
/ MBBSor equivalent qualification. Candidates who have not taken GRE and TOEFL will be required to
appear for an admission test. Admission
test will be held at the AKU campus on Monday August 6, 2001 at 9:00 a.m.
Fellowships
Two
Fellowships for the full course of the PhD programme will be awarded
on merit to candidates with
- An outstanding
record of academic achievement.
- Evidence-based
recommendations from teachers/supervisors.
Fellowships will
cover tuition and provide a stipend of Rs.7,500/- per month.
Assistantships
The Faculty of Health Sciences also offers
two teaching/research assistantships to doctoral students.
Generous financial support is available to assist with the cost
of tuition. Teaching/research assistants will be provided
with a stipend of Rs.7,500/- per month.
