for the year 2002-2003, by the Employees' Old-Age Benefits Institution
(EOBI), Pakistan.

The award was presented to Mr. Navroz Surani, Director of Human
Resources at AKU, at the EOBI's first "Excellence Award" ceremony
held at Avari Towers, in Karachi. AKU was selected as the 'Best
Employer' from amongst the 48,000 organisations registered with
EOBI, for being the most efficient organisation in fulfilling the
requirements of EOBI registration, contribution/claims and submission
of returns in a timely manner.
In addition, the criteria for achieving the First Excellence Award
of EOBI included availability of complete records of all employees;
willingness in the execution of amendments in EOBI Act; and no instances
of indulgence in litigation or fine for late payments.
