 Otolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery
The section of Otolaryngology and Head and Neck Surgery
offers a full range of diagnostic and therapeutic services.
The outpatient clinics offer a comprehensive audiologic
testing facility complete with soundproof room and
state-of-the-art audiometers for routine free filed
testing. Hearing tests are done at every clinic by
one of the three experienced audiologists. Brainstem
audiometry facility is shared with the neurology department.
The consulting clinic is equipped with microscope for
otological evaluation and fiber optic and rigid endoscopies
for examination of the sinuses. The Section has recently
appointed two speech pathologists and now offers daily
clinic for patients with speech and voice problems. This
Section has a very busy clinic for patients with cancer
of head and neck. The multidisciplinary clinic team meets
once every week and the otolaryngologist in consultation
with plastic and maxillofacial surgeons evaluate the
patient.
