Cardiothoracic Surgery Section

The Cardiothoracic Section is responsible for the care of patients with surgical conditions of heart, lungs and other chest organs. The operations performed include the coronary artery bypass surgery, aortic surgery, heart valve replacement and repair of birth defects of the heart. So far, the Section has performed more than one thousand heart surgeries. The lung surgery includes resection for carcinoma and other lesions.
