Fire Prevention and Safety Officer

Aga Khan University invites applications for the position of Fire Prevention and Safety Officer.

Responsibilities
The incumbent will be responsible for i mplementing, monitoring and updating life (fire) safety management plan and policies; managing the Fire Safety workforce and enhancing their emergency response skills and capabilities; ensuring periodic and timely inspection/maintenance of fire safety equipment and system, including fire response vehicles; as well as planning and coordinating fire safety and emergency evacuation training sessions in patient care and other critical areas.

Requirements
Candidates should have:

• Minimum Bachelor's degree, preferably in Science;
• 5 to 8 years' work experience in a similar capacity;
• Knowledge of local, national and international safety standards with particular reference to Fire Safety;
• Good supervision, communication, staff-training and computer skills.
