Senior Manager, Resource Development
Aga Khan University invites applications for the position of Senior Manager, Resource Development.
Responsibilities
This position reports to the Director General, Resource Development (RD) and Public Affairs.
The successful candidate should be a critical thinker with an analytical and forward-looking approach. An energetic and independently focused individual who is in his/her element as a dynamic leader as well as an integral team-player.
The incumbent would be responsible for overseeing tasks relating to donation pledges from the community in Pakistan specifically concerning collections and donor records/recognition; addressing donor queries; coordinating and communicating with AKU Resource Development Committees worldwide and Aga Khan Foundation offices; maintaining database of donors and ensuring that relevant donor reports/statements are prepared for senior management.
Other duties include providing supportive leadership to the Volunteer Services Department and overseeing organisation of special events such as donor dialogues, volunteer-related programmes as well as RD's Convocation-related activities.
Requirements
Candidates should have:
- A Master's degree in Business Administration (preferably in Marketing) or possessing Chartered Accountancy/CIMA qualifications;
- 8 to 10 years of work experience at senior management levels focusing on strategy and planning with multinationals, NGOs and/or respected local institutions;
- Exemplary management, communication, independent writing and interpersonal skills;
- Fluency in written and spoken English;
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Word, Excel and PowerPoint (familiarity with cutting-edge RD programmes such as Raisers' Edge will be an added advantage).
