Staff Pharmacist, Pharmacy Department

The Pharmacy Department at Aga Khan University Hospital, Karachi invites applications for the position of Staff Pharmacist.

Responsibilities
The incumbent will be responsible for interpretation of physicians' orders/prescriptions, compounding, dispensing, drug information, patient education and handling of pharmaceutical supplies. S/he will also verify prescription accuracy/validity, explain directions for using the drugs to patients and maintain prescription records properly.

Requirements
Candidates should have:

• A Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy or Pharm.D;
• At least 4 years' relevant work experience;
• Sound knowledge of outpatient and/or inpatient pharmacy, and drug information;
• Ability to interact with medical professionals independently;
• Understanding of other languages besides English and Urdu would have an advantage;
• Proficiency in the use of computers, especially MS Office.
