Pharmacist, Pharmacy Department

The Pharmacy Department at Aga Khan University Hospital, Karachi invites applications for the position of Pharmacist.

Responsibilities
The incumbent will be responsible for dispensing drugs in the inpatient and ambulatory Pharmacy through reviewing the physicians' orders/prescriptions for accurate therapeutic dose including timely delivery of medication to the nursing units or patients, ensuring its accuracy of the label before dispensing, maintaining adequate inventory stocks and implementing and the department policies and procedures.

Requirements
Candidates should have:

• A Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy, however, training in Hospital Pharmacy is preferred;
• At least 2 years' relevant work experience;
• Familiarity of hospital pharmacy functioning;
• Good knowledge of physiology, pharmacology and pharmaceutical products;
• Ability to interact with medical professionals independently;
• Understanding of other languages besides English and Urdu would have an advantage;
• Proficiency in the use of computers, especially MS Office.
