Aga Khan University Hospital, Karachi invites applications for the position of Manager, Pharmacy Services

Responsibilities
The incumbent will be responsible for organising, directing, monitoring and managing pharmacy services including computerised systems for Unit Dose Drug Distribution, Ambulatory Care and In-patient Computerised Physician Order Entry, Cytoxic Drug Admixturing, Intravenous Piggyback System, Total Parenteral Nutrition Service, Point of Care Pharmacy Practice as well as overseeing the performance of the Drug and Poison Information Centre. The individual will also be responsible for developing departmental policies and procedures in compliance with the Joint Commission International Accreditation standards. Candidate must have adequate experience and technical expertise in pharmacy practice to manage pharmacy services staffed by approximately 100 full-time employees with diverse backgrounds.

Requirements
Candidates should possess:

• A postgraduate degree in Hospital Pharmacy or a DPharm;
• 8-10 years' relevant and advanced experience in pharmacy practice and pharmacotherapy in hospital pharmacy;
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
• License and registration in USA, Canada or UK would be a definite plus;
• Have a forward-looking approach in developing the Pakistan's health care systems;
• Proficiency in the use of computers with good knowledge of e-MAR, ERP and e-Health solutions.
