Senior Instructor, General Paediatrics

Aga Khan University, chartered in 1983 as Pakistan's first private international university, is committed to the provision of education, research and health care of international standard relevant to Pakistan and the region.  The affiliated Aga Khan University Hospital has well-equipped investigative services and provides state-of-the-art clinical facilities.

The Department of Paediatrics and Child Health at Aga Khan University is one of the best units in South Asia offering clinical, teaching, outreach and research programmes. It has an 88-bed unit along with a 14-bed NICU. The department has 14 full-time and eight part-time faculty members in various clinical specialties such as General Paediatrics, Neonatology, Paediatric Cardiology, Paediatric Nephrology, Paediatric Haematology and Oncology, Paediatric Neurology, Paediatric Infectious Diseases, Paediatric Gastroenterology and Paediatric Endocrinology.

Requirements

• Candidate must have completed postgraduate training in Paediatrics recognised by CPSP and must possess FCPS or equivalent with 1-2 years subsequent clinical experience;
• The appointee will be responsible for clinical services, community teaching and research activities in the department’s clinical services (at facilities in Karachi or Hyderabad) as well as the community outreach and research programmes.
