The Faculty of Health Sciences Library, AKU is state of the art facility subscribing 500 plus journals in health sciences, latest texts and reference books. It also has access to online resources and databases of digital library (HEC) with service oriented professionals assisting in their use.

Associate Librarian

The incumbent will be responsible for providing overall assistance to chief librarian in day to day matters relating to staff, services and users of library; guidance and supervision of internet and system related issues; supervision of users' education programmes and ensuring safety of all library equipment and materials.

Candidates should have:

• Master's degree in Library & Information Sciences from a recognized university; MLS or MLIS with a second Master in computer science, business administration or basic or social science subject
• 5-10 years' experience in a key position in a health care setting would be desirable
