From time to time, faculty members at AKU-ISMC participate in public lectures and other academic programmes related to religion, society and culture in Muslim contexts.

On 10 June 2006, Professor Moncef Benabdeljelil, Head of Educational Programmes, joined a range of experts to speak about the faiths of the Middle East, at the British Museum, London. The panel explored the diversity of faiths in the Middle East, and their significant and enduring influence on the rest of the world. Click here (pdf format) for more information.
