Admissions
Under its charter, Aga Khan University is open to all academically qualified candidates. The University is non-denominational and admission to its academic programmes is needs-blind and based strictly on merit. Candidates are expected to complete a formal application form, including a personal statement, giving their reasons for wishing to enrol in the Programme and submit it with their transcript(s) and letters of reference. Shortlisted candidates will be asked to participate in an interview.
The application deadline for entry in September 2008 to the MA in Muslim Cultures has now passed. Details of how to apply for entry in the next academic year (September 2009) will be posted later this year.
Financial Assistance
Through its Financial Assistance Programme, the University ensures that no individual qualified for admission to the Institute will be excluded because of inability to pay tuition, living expenses and other costs. Such assistance will be provided through loans or scholarships to supplement personal resources. Assistance is based upon the evaluation of a student’s need from financial data provided by the student. Unless otherwise stated, every student is expected to make some contribution towards their fees/living expenses.
