Dr Moncef Ben Abdeljelil, Professor and Head of Educational Programmes is a lead member of the faculty team developing educational programmes at the Institute. He was previously Professor of Islamic Thought and Arabic Civilisations at the University of Tunis. Dr Abdeljelil has a range of teaching and work experience and has made significant contributions to the reform of the education system in Tunis. In particular, he has helped to bring reform to the primary and secondary schools while in his capacity as Counselor to the Minister of Education. Dr Abdeljelil also spent several years with the Ministry working to reform the Religious and Islamic Studies programme at Zaytuna University.

He has published a book, written in several journals and is a regular presenter at conferences. His areas of interest include literature and languages, philosophy and religious studies.
