Policy and Procedures for non AKU members' participation in Collaborative Research on AKU-IED Funded Research Projects
- Written contractual agreements must be signed and submitted
through the
the Principal Investigator (PI)
to Head, RAPS before the budget for the
study is released.
- Formal negotiations must take place at institutional
levels to ensure release time for team members from other
institutions, and that the team members and the institutions
will follow AKU-IEDs policies pertaining to research (e.g.
ethics policy and authorship policy).
- Institutions and individuals would need to provide clear
explanations for withdrawing from the study. An application
for withdrawal must be submitted to the PI well in advance
and should be forwarded to the RAPS office onwards.
- In the case of a team member leaving, the PI must make
alternative arrangements for his/her replacement.
- The
PI
must provide a list of facilities
required by external team members.
