Ms Zubeda Bana is a Senior Instructor at
Aga Khan University Institute for Educational Development (AKU-IED).
She re-joined AKU-IED in September 2006 as an Educational Leadership and Management faculty. She previously worked at AKU-IED for five years from March 1998 to January 2003. During her tenure, she was seconded to Professional Development Centre, Northern areas (PDC, N) as Programme Coordinator for a period of one year from 2001 to 2002.
She moved to the Ismaili Tariqah and Religious Education Board for Pakistan as Manager Academic for Regional Coordination in February 2003, where she worked for more than three years.
PPrior joining the AKU-IED, Ms Bana taught MEd and BEd courses at Government College of Education, F.B. Area Karachi.
Ms Bana has extensive experience of developing and conducting teacher education and educational leadership and management programmes in variety of setting in Pakistan and East Africa.
As one of the founder members of the School Headteachers' Association for Development of Education (SHADE), she played an important role in developing schools in Pakistan.

- MEd from the University of Karachi
- BEd from the University of Karachi
