Sadaf Rizvi is a Senior Instructor at Aga Khan University-Institute for Educational Development (AKU-IED). She joined AKU-IED in Dec1999 as Research Associate II. In July 2002 she was promoted as Senior Research Associate and was further promoted as a Senior Instructor in October 2003. She was also nominated as a member of Research and Policy Studies Advisory Committee of AKU-IED from 2002-2003.
Prior to joining AKU-IED Sadaf Rizvi worked with Sindh Education Foundation (SEF) Karachi, Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA) and the United Nations Development Fund for Women (UNIFEM) in Islamabad.
Sadaf Rizvi has experience of monitoring development projects implemented by NGOs and community organizations in a variety of settings in Pakistan ; coordinating teachers' training programmes for community schools; and conducting and disseminating research on community managed education programmes of Sindh and the Northern Areas of Pakistan.
She is currently availing study leave to commence her PhD in Social Anthropology at the University of Oxford, UK.
