Baber joined Aga Khan University Institute for Educational Development (AKU-IED) in April 1998 as Instructor, then he left IED on April 30, 2002 and again re-joined on August 15, 2002 as Senior Instructor. He also Chairs Mathematics Association of Pakistan (MAP).
