Ms Rahat Joldoshalieva is an Instructor at Aga Khan University Institute for Educational Development (AKU-IED). She joined AKU-IED in September 2003 as a Trainee Faculty. In July 2004, Ms Joldoshalieva was further appointed as an Assistant Instructor. Prior to joining AKU-IED, Ms Joldoshalieva taught English courses at different levels of the pre-service teacher education, at the Osh State University-Faculty of World Languages, Osh, Kyrgyzstan. In addition, she has conducted some in-service language teacher education.
During her masters' programme, she specialised in Social Studies education, since then she has been developing and conducting social studies teacher education programmes. Her expertise and interest in citizenship, human rights and conflict resolution education enabled her to bring some contribution in material and teacher development in these areas.
