Rana Hussain joined
Aga Khan University Institute for Educational Development (AKU-IED
in 1994 as a faculty member.
Currently she is working as an Assistant Professor at
the Institute.
Ms Hussain's responsibility at the Institute included
teaching, supervision of dissertations, and research.
She was the co-researcher for the research project `Head
Teacher's Role in Pakistan'.
In September 1995, Ms Hussain joined
Aga Khan Education Services Pakistan
as a Senior
Academic Advisor. In January 1998, she rejoined AKU-IED
as a Senior Instructor. Since then, she has been teaching
and conducting research. She also completed her two years
of study on `Multi-grade Teaching in the Northern Areas
of Pakistan'.
Ms Hussain's interest is Primary Education. She was able
to establish the Primary Education and Child-to-Child
Research Centre at AKU-IED. She is also the co-chair of
the Association of Primary Teachers (APT).
