Qamar
Safdar joined
Aga Khan University Institute for Educational Development (AKU-IED)
in 1998 as a Senior Instructor.
Since then, she has been involved in managing training
programmes of Advanced Diploma in School Management (ADISM),
Certificate in Educational Management (CEM) for Sindh,
Balochistan, East Africa and Dhaka (Bangladesh).
Ms
Safdar has presented papers on Educational Management
at the International Conference for School Effectiveness
and Improvement (ICSEI) at San Antonio (1999), Hong Kong
(2000) and Toronto (2001).
She
is the General Secretary of School Headteachers Association
for Development of Education (SHADE) and the Editor of
the SHADE Newsletter. She is a patron member of Association
for Development of Education in East Africa (ADEA).
Before
joining AKU-IED, she held the position of Principal and
Administrator of Al-Murtaza School.
