Aga Khan University Institute for Educational Development (AKU-IED) has a Faculty Hostel and four student hostels where accommodation is provided to those PDTs, visiting faculty, visitors, employees, and students who live outside Karachi and are involved in various activities at the Institute.

Faculty Hostel

At the Faculty Hostel, the PDTs and visiting faculty are given priority and are allocated shared or individual rooms, depending upon the availability of rooms. The employees of the Institute are required to pay charges for staying at the Faculty Hostel.

All the eligible PDTs, visiting faculty, visitors and employees are required to submit an "Accommodation Requisition Form" (distributed by the hostel officer) in order to secure housing.

Student Hostels

For students living outside Karachi, there are four student hostels, which are located within close proximity of the Institute. The hostels are intended to serve as a home for students enrolled in its various programmes.

AKU-IED takes utmost care of the diverse needs of its residents. The in charge of hostels coordinates the functions of the hostels and will be available to the residents in case of any emergency.
