Celebrating 20 years!

Established in 1993, Aga Khan University Institute for Educational Development is an integral part of Aga Khan University. Our mandate is to contribute towards education reforms for enhancing the overall efficiency and effectiveness of education programmes and institutions in the developing countries, particularly in Pakistan.

Within a short period of time, our Institute has emerged as leading resource for building capacity of education systems through offering innovative teacher education programmes, conducting research, and influencing education policy and practice. Our efforts focus primarily on enhancing professional knowledge and skills of teachers, teacher educators and education managers.

We offer a number of programmes for teachers and others that are grouped as graduate programmes and professional development programmes.

Our students are inspired to become life-long learners and achieve excellence in education. If you are passionate about effectively teaching children as leaders of tomorrow, efficiently managing your institution, or conducting research on issues in education, join one of our programmes to learn and succeed!
