Pre-congress Cytology workshop
The workshop is an introduction to the Fine Needle Aspiration Biopsy Technique and an Approach to the FNB Diagnosis of Breast Thyroid, Salivary Gland, Bone and Soft Tissues and Lymph Node Lesions. This course includes practical demonstrations and training in the performance of fine needle aspiration biopsies and the preparation, staining and interpretation of FNB cytology slides. The course includes lectures, projected slide tutorials, case studies and small group practical sessions in FNB technique. Correlation with histopathological features in emphasised. Who should attend
The course is intended for pathologists and trainee pathologists interested in acquiring these skills. Pathologists currently performing and reporting FNB cytology vases will gain from a review of techniques and the broad range of FNB lectures and cases presented. Workshop details Faculty

Drs Field and Geddie have an extensive experience in performing and reporting FNB cases, and in teaching FNB techniques and cytological reporting in Australia, USA and internationally. Registration
