Mombasa is the second largest city in Kenya. Lying on the Indian Ocean it is ideally the centre of the coastal tourism industry. The original Arabic name is Manbasa.

The local inhabitants are predominantly Muslim Mjikenda/Swahili people, however due to the many immigrants from Persia and Middle East and the Indian Sub-continent who also settled in the city over the centuries, the city is a melting pot of cultures and cuisine.

Moi International airport facilitates for easy access to this town and its environs.
