Graduates of the Bachelor of Science in Nursing Programme, are eligible for licensure as Registered Nurses (RN) and also earn a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing.

As one of the first Nursing degree programmes offered in Pakistan, it consolidates the foundations of knowledge, skills and attitudes needed to prepare clinically competent professional nurses to provide holistic care to individuals, families and communities.

Graduates of the programme will be able to:

  • Adhere to established patterns of professional practices, which support the legal, religious, and ethical tenets of Pakistan
  • Incorporate the nursing process to provide safe, competent, and holistic nursing care to patients/clients in a variety of settings
  • Utilize effective critical thinking and problem solving skills in their professional practice
  • Critique and apply existing nursing theories and research findings in practice settings
  • Utilize effective oral and written communication skills to interact with with peers, clients, families and other professionals.
  • Demonstrate competence in allocating resources to support the identified needs of individuals, families, and communities in diverse settings.
  • Demonstrate the ability to coordinate activities related to the provision of health care for clients in various settings.
  • Develop attitudes and socio‑political skills to influence individuals, families, and communities to mobilize resources to meet identified health needs.
  • Demonstrate awareness of the existing health care system and its policies influencing the patient/client care.
  • Develop leadership skills to promote development of the profession.
